You compete with others when you find hard time defining your merit, excellence and uniqueness. You rather beat others than being the best you can be...
When you compete you don’t feel safe, then weird actions you would take out of envy, because you always need to be the first, the best, the unique, the smart one, the genius, the brain, the boss, the director and the leader…
You need to satisfy your ego, doesn’t matter on whose account you rise…
Do you need an audience to praise your success?
Do you need someone who has less abilities and skills than you to beat?
Do you need fame, money, praise and lights?
I believe that those whom compete for others and not for themselves might really succeed, but won’t reach the stage of maturity -ever- till they "do" for themselves, for self-satisfaction and not for external satisfaction.
The Gold Line:
“Express yourself; do for your own self, to find the happiness you desire”
