Don't wear a Mask

A young man was promoted to executive director, he lacked self-esteem in the office, did not convince himself with the new position and did not know how to deal with it. One day someone knocked his office door, he started acting busy to look important, so he grabbed the phone and pretended that he is having a conversation with someone and asked the person at the door to come in. The person has waited for the executive director to end his call, whom was confirming over the phone “that there is no problem”, “that he’ll take care of it himself”, and “that he is going to deal with the situation as soon as possible”. After the director has hanged off the call, he asked the visitor for the purpose of his visit. The visitor answered: “I came to connect the phone wires, sir”

What do we get from this? Why pretend? What are we trying to prove to others? That we’re practical, rich? We’re trustworthy? We deserve the job, power and leadership? Why do we lie to ourselves before lying to others? What’s important about fake feelings? People do that in low self-esteem and low self respect. Self respect is our feelings towards our-selves, not necessarily over-amplify our personalities to feel self-satisfied

Inspirational flick

Your ability in producing increases

Your relations enhance more with people

And the world around you looks pretty

When you feel self-satisfied

So trust yourself and achieve what you want…
